6th July was West of England Collie Society Ch Show. Dog Judge Mr B Hull. CH DEMELEWIS DARK MOON DRIFTIN OVER CORYDON won the Open Dog Class, was awarded the CC and then Best of Breed and eventually Best in Show under B.I.S. Judge Eira Moores. CORYDON CATCH ME DRIFTIN was placed 2nd in the Special Yearling dog Class, but he had lost most of his coat.
29th June our new puppy CORYDON CATCH A PIXIE went to Bridgeford Open All Breeds Show. Was placed 2nd in Junior but was Best Puppy as the winner was older than 12 months. She then won Pastoral Group Puppy 1 under judge Gwen Beaden. Not bad for just 7 months old.
The 1st June was Southern Counties Championship Show. CH DEMELEWIS DARK MOON DRIFTIN OVER CORYDON won the Open Dog Class and was Best of Breed. He also won the Special Open Stakes Class. CORYDON D’ARK MARGARITA was placed 2nd in a class of 15 Puppy bitches.
The next show was the Smooth Collie Club Open Show on 11th May. CORYDON D’ARK MARGARITA won the Puppy Bitch Class and then was awarded Best Puppy in Show. CORYDON CATCH ME DRIFTIN won his class and was awarded Best Rough Dog. CORYDON COPPERITA won the Open Bitch Class and was awarded Reserve Best Rough Bitch. Miranda had fun. Now we have a rest.
The previous day, at Newark & Notts Ag Society Open Show CORYDON CATCH ME DRIFTIN won the Open Dog Class and was awarded Best of Breed under Mrs Peach. CORYDON D’ARK MARGARITA won the puppy class and was awarded Best Puppy.
CH DEMELEWIS DARK MOON DRIFTIN OVER CORYDON did it again, this time at Lancashire & Cheshire Collie Club Championship Show on the 4th May. under Peter Chave who awarded him the Dog CC and then Hugh Jones awarded him Best in Show. 4 Championship Shows, 4 CCs, and 4 Best of Breeds. We will give him a rest now. He has proved that he is the best.

CH DEMELEWIS DARK MOON DRIFTIN OVER CORYDON then went to WELKS on the 27th April
and won the Dog CC and Best of Breed under Derek Smith. He was then short-

the Dog CC and then Best in Show at Collie Club of Wales on the 20th April.

CRUFTS 2008. What more can we say. What a SHOW. DEMELEWIS DARK MOON DRIFTIN OVER CORYDON wins the Open Dog Class and wins the Dog CC so he is now CH DEMELEWIS DARK MOON DRIFTIN OVER CORYDON He then wins Best of Breed and is Short Listed in the Group. The only one of the Collie Breeds to be so placed. CH CORYDON RIO GRANDE is placed 3rd in the Open Dog class. CORYDON CATCH ME DRIFTIN is placed 2nd in the Junior Dog Class and last but by no means least CORYDON COPPERITA is placed 1st in the Undergraduate Bitch Class. 4 exhibits taken and all placed in the first 3 in their classes. Including 1st and 3rd in the Open Dog Class.

The second show of the year saw our dog excel again.
This was the East Anglian Collie Association Open Show.
Judge Lene Newman (most will remember her as Lene Halvorsen) Anyway CORYDON CATCH ME DRIFTIN won the Junior Dog class, was made Best Dog and then Best Dog in Show and Reserve Best in Show.
DEMELEWIS DARK MOON DRIFTIN OVER CORYDON won the Open Dog Class and CORYDON COPPERITA was placed second out of 13 in the Post Grad Bitch Class, the winner went on to Best in Show.
The year has started in great style as CH CORYDON RIO GRANDE was placed 1st in Open Dog Not Separately Classified Pastoral and was then placed Best of Breed in this Section at Boston Championship Show on the 4th January 2008. Judge Mr P Radley. On the way he beat several very big winners from other breeds in the Pastoral Group. Not to be completely overshadowed, CORYDON CATCH ME DRIFTIN won 1st prize in the Junior Dog Class of this section.
