CORYDON COLLIES
The history of CORYDON ROUGH COLLIES

The main event of the year was the birth of our daughter, MIRANDA, on the 22nd January.
Great excitement this year also, as we were offered a bitch puppy by the Rokeby Kennel
This was from a mating of brother and sister - CH ROYAL ACE OF ROKEBY ex CH ROMNEY OF ROKEBY.
This puppy came to join us in June 1968 and was to be called CORYDON REGALITY OF ROKEBY, Jane as she was known in the kennel really put us on the map of Collie History. She was the dam of CH CORYDON QUI VIVE and CORYDON KING HECTOR, and so started us on the road to making up Champions and winning Challenge Certificates. She herself hated dog shows so only went to about 2. But she made history in other ways.
We had quite a successful time with the show dogs. CORYDON DON VICISTI was Best of Breed at the Hertfordshire Canine Society Open Show, and CORYDON BELLA DONNA was Best of Breed at Kettering & District Canine Society Open Show.
Not to be outdone, CORYDON COUNTRYMAN was Best Dog at East Anglian C A Sanction Show and then Best Dog at the London & P C C Open Show.
The dogs won 15 first prizes during the year.
